“That Momma’s Favorite”

Here’s a cute little thing I want to make sure I write down before I forget it:

At bedtime, when his dad asks him what book he’d like to read, no matter which he chooses–and the current favorites are On Beyond Zebra and Max in Hollywood Baby–he always claims to have chosen it because, “…that Momma’s favorite!”

It’s terribly, terribly sweet.

(Also amusing: I was on book-reading duty Monday night because Matt’s lost his voice. Apparently I do not read Max in Hollywood Baby properly–he kept stopping me and correcting me (“Dis part faster!”) so that I’d read it more like his dad.)

I keep meaning to post this email from Jodi and forgetting:

HL was featured in one my scarier dreams the other night…

A synopsis unless you are interested in me trying to get the whole deranged thing down:

• hunkered down in a creepy house
• Vampire-Zombies
• Zombie-Vampires
• End of the World
• Henry Leo was very brave and calm and pretty much saved the remaining group of humans left. He spoke in Received Pronounciation, but that was the least weird thing going on. Nor was he hurt. Lil dude was IN CHARGE.

There was a horrible test for zombie vampire (or vampire zombie – there’s a difference!) infection that was inflicted on me only. I shudder to think.

I look like a grain of rice sleeping on a lima bean. It is my two month birthday. I am good.

We were supposed to go on a walk Saturday morning — Aunt Laurenn, Aunt Dawn, Mom and me — but the weather was so rotten that we decided to have breakfast at Eggtc. and go shopping instead. It was my first time at a restaurant and I did really well! Then we went shopping and I mostly hung out in the carrier that Mom got from Aunt Courtney.
