At School Week of 10-26-09

We have had a great week in Rm 121! This week was Pets Week, so we learned about what animals each friend has at his/her home. To celebrate our classroom pet, our fish, we made fish tank pictures. We also brought in pictures from home to show our friends. Earlier in the week we met Eli’s dog, Badger who is very calm and friendly!
This week we made a trip to the bubble which was so much fun! We ran around, kicked soccer balls and played games with Mr. Matt [the teacher in the classroom next door].
Next week we will begin our unit on transportation. We will begin with a favorite amongst our class: Trains! We will study how trains work, what they are used for, and talk about our own experiences with trains. We will put together a train of our own for the wall of the classroom, for which each child will make their own car.
